It is a month long celebration showcasing the delectable fresh durian produced by the Plant Now Pay Later (PNPL) beneficiaries and other durian growers in the city. The Festival highlights also include culinary competitions that feature durians as the main component. The various events showcase the talents and creativity of the students and F&B professionals. From cakes, pastries and bread, to coffee, cocktails and mock tails.

It is a celebration of Good Harvest! This globally famous festival is a weeklong celebration and thanksgiving for nature’s bountiful harvest; include street dancing, floral float parade, cultural shows, exhibits, etc.

Anibina Festival - March 1 to 8
It is coined from the words “ani,” meaning harvest, and “bina,” which refers to gold veins. The celebration coincides with the celebration of the founding anniversary of the province. Its venue is the Provincial Capitol grounds in the capital town of Nabunturan.

The provincial government of Davao Occidental will launch its first-ever “Netibo” (native) Festival next year to promote the rich culture of the Indigenous People (IP) not only of this infant province but as well as in Davao del Sur that aims to give importance to the total development of the IP communities.

“Sambuokan Festival” came from Mandaya word “sambuok”, meaning unity and oneness. It is a thanks-giving for bountiful harvest and community progress. Activities include cultural/tribal shows and presentations, agri-industrial trade fair and exhibits.
